Congratulations, Autumn
Congratulations, Autumn, you’ve done it again, arrived just in time, reminding me to retreat not from but deeper into all that is changing. Cheers to you, Autumn, the times you've turned earth on its side, split it in two, a new before and after, side-splitting laughter anew. Let’s hear it for Autumn, never mind their name-calling you Fall, all the implications of descent and death. We are not falling, we are not fallow just yet. Way to go, Autumn, way to be, way to be. Teach me thy ways to be still quietly ripening riotous colors. Well done, Autumn. Spread a table, pour the wine, take a load off, take time for a change. Make a feast of such yieldings. Thank you, Autumn. For a moment the world pivots across as much dark as there is light and our time here hangs in such balance.
