Summertime dreaming & writing prompt scheming
Dear readers,
Hello, spring! The peonies are blooming, the birds sing in the mornings, and every night as we try to get the kids to bed my neighbor Ray revs his Harley on the sidewalk for a solid ten minutes. Only three weeks remain until school is out for my kids and we are all looking forward to summer break. As I anticipate another shift in routines and rhythms, I am remembering last summer when I asked you all for writing prompts, and I’d like to do that again.
So . . . Send me prompts, questions, ideas, or topics to write about this summer. Send me an album, book, painting, or movie recommendation that I can respond to. Send me the first five words in a sentence to turn into a story or poem. Send me a weird word that I likely can’t define nor pronounce. I’ll spend the summer weeks responding to your prompts and ideas, and then sharing in The Thread.
I have some project updates I’ll share soon, but for today, I hope you’ll take a minute to write back and help generate a good summer of writing!
Peace!
Andrew
